IPUMS Integrated Census Samples The Minnesota Population Center announces that integrated census samples representing 62 countries are now available at no cost to registered researchers at: www.ipums.org/international. Countries with recently added samples (as of June 2011) include Cambodia, Egypt, France, Germany, Iran, Ireland, Jamaica, Malawi, Sudan, and Vietnam. IPUMS is grateful to National Statistical Offices worldwide, the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health (USA) to be able to disseminate integrated samples to researchers free of charge. Integrated samples facilitate comparative research on the demographic, economic, and social characteristics of individuals in their household context. Registration is required to ensure that researchers respect the conditions of use. Seven short tutorials on how to use the database are posted at: www.hist.umn.edu/~rmccaa/IPUMSI/ipumsi_explorer.ppt.
