Obtaining Books Found in the Library's Catalogue (Omni)

Once you have found the item in the Library's catalogue (Omni), you can request it. 

You will need to be signed into the Library's catalogue in order to place a request.

Expect delivery within three (3) business days. You will receive an e-mail when the item is available for you to pick up.

Obtaining Books NOT found in the Library Catalogue

If the item cannot be found in Primo, you can search RACER, the interlibrary loan system for University Libraries across Ontario (and elsewhere), and request it to be sent to you.

Click on the RACER link at the top of the Primo page.

RACER can also be accessed directly from the Library's homepage under Services (left menu).

Expect delivery with 7-10 business days. You will receive an e-mail when the item arrives.

Retrieving Articles

If the full text of the article is not in the Database itself...

   ...click on the Get It! Waterloo logo OR search the Library catalogue (Omni). If searching by article title does not give any results, try searching for the JOURNAL title.

RACER

If the item cannot be found in the Library catalogue, you can search RACER, the interlibrary loan system for University Libraries across Ontario (and elsewhere), and request it to be sent to you. Click on the RACER link at the top of the Primo page.
