Find Books

Find books in the Library using the Library's catalogue (Primo). The catalogue also includes items held by the University of Guelph (UG) and Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU).

Obtaining Books Found in the Library Catalogue

Once you have found the item in the Library catalogue, you can request it by clicking on the link for a library in which it is available.

  • Select Hold for books which are in a library (i.e., not charged)
  • Select Recall for books which are charged

If you are not logged into the Library catalogue, select Sign in to place a Hold or Recall

Expect delivery within three (3) business days. You will receive an e-mail when the item arrives.


Obtaining Books NOT found in the Library Catalogue

If the item cannot be found in Primo, you can search RACER, the interlibrary loan system for University Libraries across Ontario (and elsewhere), and request it to be sent to you.

Click on the RACER link at the top of the Primo page.

RACER can also be accessed directly from the Library's homepage under Services (left menu).

Expect delivery with 7-10 business days. You will receive an e-mail when the item arrives.
