Welcome to the Flipped portion of our OLA Superconference Presentation.  Following the model above, you are encouraged to create an out of class task (pre-class activity) before attending the conference.  Through this process, you will experience a flipped classroom and learn more about the pedagogy behind it.  

We typically motivate students to complete these activities by assigning marks.  Your motivators might include:

• contributing to a collection of pre-class activity ideas for library instruction
• experimenting with the flipped classroom
• contributing to more engaging conversations with colleagues during the presentation
• And, anyone completing the activity, will get a slice of Jackie's yummy banana bread to start your morning (nut free!)

The flipped classroom model encourages in-class student engagement, peer-peer and student-instructor interactions to reinforce the material learned through the pre-class activities.  We plan to model this process and facilitate group discussion during our presentation.
