About this Guide

This guide is a starting point for research in social, cultural, historical, linguistic, and literary lives of German Canadians. It is part of the work done by members of the German-Canadian Studies research group, Waterloo Centre for German Studies.

 

About the German Canadian Studies Research Group

This research group is part of the Waterloo Centre for German Studies. Members of the German Canadian Studies group investigate historical, cultural, and linguistic phenomena and processes in German-Canadian communities.

Research foci include: English German bilingualism, German Canadiana in Ontario Bibliography, Russian Mennonites, history of the local German community.Particular interest is in the German-Canadian community in Waterloo Region, drawing on special collections available via the Dana Porter Library, University of Waterloo.
