Connect to the Library on Campus

The recommended way of connecting your personal laptop and some other wireless devices to Library resources at the University of Waterloo is through Eduroam. Once you have connected to Eduroam, you can connect while on university campuses in many parts of the world.

What is OMNI?

OMNI is an academic search tool that connects the libraries of 14 Ontario universities through one library catalogue. All students, staff and faculty at the University of Waterloo are OMNI borrowers.

The Wilfrid Laurier University Library has produced a helpful Getting Started with OMNI guide.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, print materials listed in OMNI from outside the University of Waterloo library system are not available at this time.

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Use Interlibrary Loan to find books and articles that are not available in the University of Waterloo library system. Currently, inter-library loan is operating for electronic delivery only. Make requests through RACER. Inter-library loan staff will let you know if your request can be filled. This is a free service. Delivery time is estimated 7-10 days, though may take longer depending on the materials requested.

Finding Films and Documentaries

In addition to the library, another source for films on the uWaterloo campus is the Media Resources Library.
