Connect to the Library on Campus

The recommended way of connecting your personal laptop and some other wireless devices to Library resources at the University of Waterloo is through Eduroam. Once you have connected to Eduroam, you can connect while on university campuses in many parts of the world.

Omni: The Library Catalogue

Omni connects the libraries of 16 Ontario universities through one library catalogue. All students, staff and faculty at the University of Waterloo are Omni borrowers. You can order these materials directly from the Omni catalogue!

The Wilfrid Laurier University Library has produced a helpful Getting Started with Omni guide.

Interlibrary Loan

Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to find books and articles that are not available in the University of Waterloo or Omni library system, or University of Waterloo article databases. Inter-library loan staff will let you know if your request can be filled. This is a free service. Delivery time is estimated at 7-10 days. Article requests are frequently fulfilled digitally.

Finding Films, Documentaries and Streaming Services

In addition to the library, another source for films on the uWaterloo campus is the Media Resources Library.

Search their media catalogue or find answers to frequently asked questions about their services (including access to streaming services).
