Arts 130: Black and Free: How to use this guide

A Library guide supporting Dr. Keleta-Mae's Arts130 section

Navigating this guide

The purpose of this guide is to enable you to learn the skills required to locate and use pieces of scholarly information so that you can do research that inspires you and helps you succeed academically. Specifically it will help you with the completion of research essays, annotated bibliographies, or any other assignment that requires the use of academic sources.

Navigating the guide

  • Each tab corresponds to a step in the research process, and contains a combination of resources, activities, and information for you to use in conducting your research.
  • We suggest you begin by going through sequentially and then, as you need, revisit each section as you go through your research assignment.
