Advanced search

Ebook collections

The Library provides access to a variety of e-book collections. While many of these titles can be found through the catalogue, sometimes it is helpful to search the collections directly. Suggested collections for this project are:

Finding biographical details

To find books about the mathematician, try searching for their name in the title or subject fields of the catalogue's 'advanced search' feature.

Finding mathematicians' work

Use the 'advanced search' feature of the catalogue to select the author/creator field. Search for your mathematician in the author field to find the research they produced.

Use the limits on the left hand side of the results to help you find relevant material.

The options for limiting your results in the catalogue, including limiting to online, by resource type, and by author.

If you know the name of any of their major works (perhaps you found a title from a reference list on a website and want to access that book or article) you can search for it in the title field of the library's catalogue.
