Looking for images you can use in your presentations and coursework without having to ask for permission to re-use them?

Here are some useful websites which contain images in the public domain or have CC (Creative Commons) licenses attributed to them:

Free online database of medical images, teaching cases, and clinical topics, integrating images and textual metadata including over 12,000 patient case scenarios, 9,000 topics, and nearly 59,000 images. Our primary target audience includes physicians and nurses, allied health professionals, medical students, nursing students and others interested in medical knowledge.

Smithsonian Open Access Image Collection

Collection of over 22,000 freely available digital materials for health sciences education.

Reminder:

Even though you do not need to seek permission to use them, any CC-licensed images you use from the above resources should be referenced in your presentations and coursework. You can cite these images the same way you would cite a website.
