We want to hear from you. You're viewing the newest version of the Library's website. Please send us your feedback!
Omni is the name of the Library's catalogue. Use Omni to search for books, journals, articles, images, and more!
To search Omni, start by going to the library website: lib.uwaterloo.ca. From the library homepage, use the Search box to begin searching in Omni.
To learn more about the search features in Omni, check out this Searching in Omni infographic.
Once you find a book in Omni that you'd like to access, check its location. This information is listed under the book's title, author(s), and date.
In this example, the book Innovations in landscape architecture is available at Musagetes Architecture Library, Cambridge.
The combination of letters and numbers that follows the book's location is its call number. This is the exact location of the book within the library. In the example above, the book's call number is SB472 .I56 2016.
Once you have the book's call number, bring it with you to the library. You can compare this combination of letters and numbers to those posted on the shelves to figure out which shelf your book is on. If you need help finding your book on the shelf, ask a library staff member. We're always happy to help!
Omni allows you to search for and request books from any University of Waterloo library as well as the libraries of our 18 partner institutions. You can request these items through Omni and have them delivered to the Musagetes Architecture library for you to pick up.
