This guide presents a one week challenge. Each day presents an activity that aims to help researchers:
This challenge will run from April 7th to 11th, 2025.
Who is this challenge for?
Though this challenge has been created with those conducting research at UW in mind (ex., faculty, post-doctoral researchers, PhDs), everyone is welcome to complete this challenge.
What is the time commitment?
Each day takes about 10 to 30 minutes to complete. The maximum overall time commitment is 2.5 hours.
What will I get out of this challenge?
The results of this challenge will significantly enhance your understanding of research impact and researcher identity. From creating a scholarly profile that will auto-populate itself with your work, to learning how to include research metrics in your CV, this challenge will help you better understand what your research impact is and how to promote yourself within academia.
Complete this challenge by April 11th for an opportunity to showcase your research on Library screens and newsletters! You’ll also have the chance to present your work to staff, faculty, and fellow UW members at an interdisciplinary research talk this spring term. Both opportunities are optional. To participate, make sure to submit your progress each day using the form located at both the bottom of the page and on the right panel.
