Key library services for graduate students

Collections and services
  • Digital equivalent of in-copyright items from the Library's print collections via HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service
  • Book Pickup@Porter ... curbside pickup 
    • borrow up to 500 items in total with loan periods of:
      • 120 days for books from University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Guelph, and the Annex
      • 6 weeks for books from other Omni Libraries
      • 2 weeks for journals
  • The research assistant / proxy card allows you to borrow material on your professor's behalf. Share this link with your professor so they can submit the form to library staff requesting the card.

  • Book pickup service: More locations are expected to be added throughout the fall term. 
  • Book delivery by mail: Mailing out of print items will be an option for faculty, graduate students and staff who are unable to make use of the print pickup service. Requested items will be mailed out to any address in Canada.
